HOW DO YOU EFFECTIVELY END A PRESENTATION?

Danja

The final part of your presentation provides a summary and inspires action.

What a grand finale is to a musician, a speech closing is to a speaker! The final words of a presentation are so important. Yet many end abruptly with: “Thank you for your attention.”

Not you. End with a bang: Just like yours. Einleitung The ending of your presentation is also crucial for leaving a lasting impression on your audience. Therefore, try to make your conclusion as memorable as possible. Ultimately, two things are important for your audience to take away: the core message of your presentation and a strong impression of you!

You work hard to deliver an outstanding presentation. Make your outro an unforgettable experience, too. Here are three ways to effectively end your presentation:

1. End with a summary

"Tell them what you're going to say, then say it, and then tell them what you just said." Briefly summarize the key points, the core message of your presentation, and its benefits for your audience at the end. This way, you and your speech will be remembered.

2. Get closer to your goal with a call to action.

Your audience shouldn't just leave your presentation without taking something away with them. Therefore, include a call to action that leads to your goal. What should your audience do with all the information you've just shared? For example, what are the three next steps you want them to take? Or encourage them to sign up for the next workshop or add themselves to your contact list. You want your audience to take action! Or use the conclusion to persuade your audience of your point of view.

The call to action should be simple and immediately applicable, so your audience isn't deterred by the prospect of additional effort..

3. The end where you began

Refer back to the beginning of your presentation to make your speech flow smoothly and harmoniously. If you start with a story, refer back to it at the end and perhaps point out the moral of the story to your audience.

Wherever you begin—with a story, a quote, or a question—refer back to it at the end. This will bring your thoughts to a close and your speech in an engaging way.

By following these valuable tips at the end of your presentation, you can ensure that it leaves a lasting impression on your audience!
